Our Board Members
This entire program is based on people supporting people, and we are proud to have an amazing group of people supporting us. Our board members below are instrumental in how we carry out our mission, and helping to make this organization what it is today.
Ronda Stutts
The acts of kindness I experienced during my cancer journey fueled a fire in me - a quirky resolve to pay it forward. Because no one should weather this storm solo. Together, we can navigate the uncharted waters of cancer, armed with camaraderie, compassion, and a touch of quirkiness to lighten the load.
Stay strong, fellow fighters. The storm may rage, but we stand taller, together. 💪🌈

There are 6 reasons that I wanted, and am honored, to serve on the Board of this non-profit that is so near and dear to my heart. I say 6 reasons, because for so very long, cancer had been something that was a sad story that I only heard about other people going through. I had sympathy in my heart for those navigating the storm…… but it wasn’t in my immediate circle. I couldn’t truly relate to what those sailors were going through. And then it happened – cancer made its presence known in my life in a big way and the hits just kept coming. First my good friend was diagnosed and fought for years before losing her battle. Then it was my sister in law, then another good friend, then my sister, then another good friend and then, one of my life long friends quickly lost her battle to this devastating disease. So naturally when Ronda, who is one of my six, asked me to help with her idea for starting a foundation to help provide education and care for those facing cancer, I didn’t hesitate to sign up. I’m so proud to partner with Ronda and the incredible team she’s built to help start, manage and continue to grow this important organization.

The reason I was compelled to join forces with this non profit organization is because I personally learned so much about cancer and the different types of cancer among us. I was educated by Ronda Stutts personally whom I watched battle her own aggressive breast cancer. I witnessed her fight, stay strong, stay positive throughout her entire journey. I was so impressed at how she educated herself through reading books and through her many amazing doctors but mostly thru her own personal experience with breast cancer. All while going thru her own journey she had this passion to educate others about cancer awareness.
Ronda wanted to help others who were going thru their own journey with cancer by reaching out and sending beautiful care packages all over the united states to people with cancer, at first she was spending money out of her own pocket to fund these care packages which included products they may need and to send encouragement to them to never give up and to keep fighting and staying strong and positive throughout their journey with cancer.
Ronda is so passionate about cancer awareness and spreading the word to so many others. Watching her be so selfless and compassionate towards other cancer fighters made me want to help and join the team of her non profit survivors supporting sailors navigate through the storm. I am honored and proud to be a team member of such a rewarding non profit and I am so very proud of my amazing beautiful survivor friend....Ronda Ann Stutts.
Sincerely,
Penny Brown

As a cancer survivor, I’ve experienced the shock of the diagnosis, the pain & discomfort of the treatment, the amazing love & support from my wife, and the awkwardness of friends not knowing how to help but wanting to be supportive.
Having a network makes a difference, and mine meant a lot to me. There were certainly family & friends involved, but I also met some new folks along the way that made difference for me.
Getting a chance to support Ronda in this way, and being there for others going through cancer means a lot to me..

I was honored to be asked to be a part of SSS. I have been to close to Cancer too many times in my life. I lost my 35 year old mom when I was 10 years old to a cancer that would probably be easily treatable today. Then stood alongside my 29 year old husband with a new baby, a new job in a new town, with no support system. Not long after I was standing alongside one of my best friends. When Ronda was diagnosed I didn’t think my heart could take it. I was so thankful she had such tremendous support. When asked to be a part of SSS I know how important this was to do. In my experience cancer diagnosis requires people loving you along the way. The love Ronda puts into these care packages is truly inspiring It’s an honor to work alongside side her and bring some love and care to those facing this terrifying diagnosis.
